当館が後援する在日カンボディア留学生協会（関西地方）が主催するチャリティークリスマスイベントに参加致しました。

２０１７年１２月２４日（日）に開催されました在大阪カンボディア王国名誉領事館が後援する在日カンボディア留学生協会主催のチャリティークリスマスイベントに当館スタッフが参加致しました。

オープニング式では、カンボディアの伝統舞踊が披露され、会長のプレルソー様から参加者へ向けての挨拶があり、続いて本チャリティーイベントの概要の説明があり、支援対象地域の学校では１２０名いる学生に対して、施設も狭く、教師が２名のみという環境である上に、ノートや教科書も十分にない状況との説明がありました。この状況を少しでも改善することを目的として、同留学生協会が今回のチャリティーイベントの催しを考えられました。当館もこのイベントに寄付をさせて頂き、今回の寄付金はカンボディア・コンポントム州の小学校への寄付として、校舎の修繕、学習机と教材の提供にあてられます。

このイベントの乾杯では当館スタッフが挨拶をさせて頂き、参加者の皆様は美味しい、普段食べる機会のないカンボディア料理に舌鼓を打ちました。立食の後は、カンボディアに関するクイズゲームやバンド演奏、カンボディアのポップミュージックに乗せての全員参加のダンスも設けられ、参加者は楽しいひと時を共有しました。

当館と致しまして、今後とも在日カンボディア留学生協会（関西地方）の皆様と協力して、カンボディアを広める活動を行って行きたいと考えております。

This event is organized by the Khmer Student Association in Kansai. The staff of the honorary consulate are planning to take part in this event, and we intend to support it with a donation to help the people in local areas of Cambodia through a donation program. We, the honorary consulate, also donated to this charity event in support of a school in the countryside of Cambodia, namely Oh Toek Thla Elementary School (Oh Toek Thla village, Kroyear commune, Santuk district, Kompong Thom Province).
